General League Information

Ribbons will be given out after each race to the top 15 boys and girls.

All athletes must be represented at the meet by an adult sponsor who is a school district employee for the school , or community coach approved by the Principal, who will be present for the duration of the event.

Coaches / supervisors  are responsible for ensuring that athletes know the race course and for first aid.

Marshals volunteering at the meets should be adults wearing an identifiable vest. It is important that they are able to contact the school rep. who is responsible for marshals by cell phone or walkie talkie in case of emergency.

A map of the course will be supplied each race for the next one in the series or will be posted on line ( see links below. Race distances are approximate.

**The permit to use the Cedar Hill Rec field for the race allows for parking in the Finlayson lot. Please be considerate of the neighbours, do not block access to personal driveways, use disabled parking stalls or double park/park on blvd.  As well, the permit is for the outside field and chip trail around the course so we ask that, unless it is an emergency, participants and their families do not go in to the rec center.

Race details:
Elk / Beaver Lake additional  information:
The race at Beaver Lake on October 6 will be located beside the Filter Bed parking area. Drivers will turn off Elk Lake Road into the park and continue past the dog park area, continue past the second parking area and end up in the third parking lot which is gravel. There is a large grey sign with blue lettering to designate the area of the park.  The race start for the 6s and 7s will be to the right of the parking. The grade 8s will be walked to their start area.  The finish line for all grades will be to the left of the gravel parking lot.
Cedar Hill Additional Information:
No parking at the Cedar Hill Rec Centre Parking lot. Please park on the street and overflow parking lot on North Dairy/Finlayson St.
