BC SCHOOL SPORTS Board of Directors has effective immediately (March 17, 2020), suspended the Spring Season of Play indefinitely, and in the interest of student-athlete safety, has suspended all school sport-related activities including training, practices, jamborees, scrimmages, matches and similar inter and intra school sport activities.


LOWER ISLAND MIDDLE SCHOOL SPORTS ASSOCIATION (LIMSSA)·     

  •  age group competition for grade 6/7 and grade 7/8 only
  •  30 member schools
  • 8 different sports – often with two divisions
  • 4 seasons of play- usually 6 weeks in length
  •  President for 2018/19 year: Duncan Brice, GNS
 SECONDARY SCHOOLS ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION (LVISSAA)

  •  age group competition for grade 9/10 and 11/12
  •  20 member schools
  • Each of the 14 sports will offer opportunities to advance to  Island zone+BC Championships
  • President for 2017/18 year: Darren Reisig, Claremont
